The case for a creative partner.

Most outdoor brands and event teams are small, busy and very good at what they do. Content is one more thing on a long list. Here's how a long-term creative partner takes some of that weight, and why the work goes further the longer you work together.

01

Every shoot builds on the last

One-off shoots start from zero every time: a new photographer, a new brief, a new learning curve on your brand. A partner already knows your look, your people, your gear and your events, so each shoot picks up where the last one left off.

Over a season, that adds up to a body of work you can pull from for launches, social, sponsor decks and next year's promo, instead of reshooting what you already paid for.

02

Shorter briefs, faster results

When I already know your brand, a brief can be a quick call. You spend less time explaining and more time on the work only you can do.

And if the brief doesn't exist yet, that's part of the job. We start with what the images need to do, then plan backwards to the shoot.

03

Your team stays on what they do best

Your team runs events, builds product and takes care of customers. Creative takes its own tools, hours and headspace, and it's usually competing with everything else on their plate.

Bringing in a partner isn't a knock on your team. It gives them a creative resource to lean on, so content gets made without pulling them away from the work that grows the business.

04

Your brand stays on point

The same eye on race day, a lifestyle shoot and a product day means one consistent look across your site, social, catalog and sponsor materials. Over time, people start to recognize your images before they see your logo.

05

The relationship is the advantage

Over time I get to know your athletes, your venues, your sponsors and what's coming up on your calendar. I can spot the moment worth shooting before you have to ask for it, and bring ideas, not just coverage.

06

Measured by what it does

Before the camera comes out, we agree on how we'll know it worked: registrations, sponsor renewals, product page performance, the saves and comments that show people care.

After delivery, we look back together and use what we learned to shape the next shoot.

Side by side

One-off shoots vs. a creative partner.

One-off shoots

  • A new brief every time
  • A new photographer learning your brand
  • A look that shifts from shoot to shoot
  • Images used once, then replaced
  • Your team manages every step

A creative partner

  • Short briefs, sometimes just a call
  • Someone who already knows your brand, people and gear
  • One consistent look, season after season
  • A library that gets reused across launches and channels
  • Shared planning, so your team stays focused

When a one-off is the right call

Not every brand needs a partner. If you have one event to cover or one product to launch, a single project is the right fit, and I'll tell you so.

A partnership makes sense when content is a regular need and you'd rather not rebuild it from scratch every time.

What a partnership looks like

We plan the year together around your calendar: race days, lifestyle shoots for the catalog and social, product for launches. You get one point of contact, a shared plan, and a library that grows with every shoot.

Season partnerships are priced on a call and built around what you need. See services and rates →

Common questions

What's the difference between a creative partner and a freelance photographer?

A freelancer shows up for the shoot. A partner is in it before and after: helping shape the brief, planning around your calendar, and looking back at what worked so the next shoot is better.

Is a partnership more expensive than booking shoots one at a time?

It doesn't have to be. Planning shoots together cuts down on rushed bookings and re-briefing, and images get reused instead of replaced. We scope it to your budget.

Can you work alongside our in-house team?

Yes. I fit around whoever handles marketing now, take on the parts they don't have the time or tools for, and hand off files organized the way they work.

How do we get started?

With a conversation about where you are and where you want to be in a year. If a partnership makes sense, I'll come back with a plan. If a single project fits better, I'll say that too.

your year.

It starts with one conversation about where you want to go.
