Inge
Brandywine Ski Resort, Ohio
February 2026
Inge Reschke has been teaching people to ski for most of her adult life. Spending 25 years instructing in New Zealand, eight more at Deer Valley in Utah. By the time she came back to Ohio, she had spent decades in ski school programs, left feeling like that chapter had closed. Not with skiing, and not with teaching, just with the formal commitment, the schedule, and the obligation of it. She was still passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping others, just in a different way.
That's where 3 Trackers comes in for Inge. She had watched the program on Sunday mornings at Brandywine years earlier, back when Bert Fischer was running it and two friends of hers, Chuck Horning and his wife Carly, were involved. Carly has since passed. The program kept going. Inge joined about 10 years ago when she returned to the area and continues to share and help others.
She says what keeps her coming back are the faces, that is the smiles on students and volunteers. It's not a complicated answer, and she doesn't try to make it one. How she teaches skiing now is the same basic equation of skills as before, but now it includes additional components.
Skiing itself, she'll tell you, is personal, and it doesn't require you to match anyone else. You ski to your own ability, at your own pace, down your own line. She's skied all over, Montana, Canada, California, Lake Tahoe, and still keeps looking for new places. In the summer she plays tennis and golf. But skiing is the thing that keeps her going, keeps her out of the house. It helps her mentally, physically, she says, and just… everything.
Inge has been part of Brandywine long enough to remember when the mountain changed ownership more than once. Although there were slight changes each time, the new owners kept the door open for 3 Trackers. She sees the importance in giving back and is happy to see it continued.
